What YOUth can do at the YOUth Count Event?

Inform decision making and improve services by:

BEING COUNTED

Take the 2023 Homeless PIT Count Survey for Youth to help us understand how many unaccompanied youth and parenting youth are experiencing homelessness or housing instability in our community. The Youth Count Survey collects demographic information through a safe, secure, and confidential process; no identifying information is collected.

SHARING YOUR VOICE

During the Youth Count, attendees will have the opportunity to share their stories, voices, and ideas.

EXPLORING RESOURCES

Visit a dozen service providers to learn about resources available to assist you - may include but not limited to:
 

  • Physical and mental health services

  • Peer support services

  • Access to food stamp applications

  • Bus pass applications

  • Career and employment services

  • Independent living services

  • Food and clothing

Purpose of this Event

The Youth Count Event is part of the community wide effort to count and identify the needs of unaccompanied youth between 16 and 24 years old, who are not residing with a parent or legal guardian, that are experiencing homelessness or housing instability to inform ongoing efforts to increase resources for needed services and housing resources.
